The Gábor Kollmann quintet, formed in 2017, released a CD of their own compositions titled Fog Over The Forest two years ago after jazz standard arrangements. In their current concert series, they commemorate the defining quintet lineups of jazz history.
Phil Woods' band was one of the most striking bands in jazz history, with their own sound, with their characteristic sound and atmosphere. Their concerts fascinated the audience, their jazz standard arrangements elevated the selected compositions even higher. With Tom Harrell on trumpet, they formed a quintet in perfect unity.
