The brilliant saxophonist, Kristóf Bacsó  is a graduate of the Ferenc Liszt Academy, of the Conservatoire de Paris and of the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He has toured Europe, the States and Japan, has played with John Pattitucci, Eddie Henderson and Jeff Denson. Kristóf was part of the Anglo-Hungarian Septet co-led by Gerard Presencer and Kálmán Oláh at the 2008 London Jazz Festival. Helen Mayhew called their gig the highlight of the whole festival. He plays in a number of top bands in Hungary and his debut album was one of the sensations of 2009. Kristóf is one of the most original contemporary players on the scene, leader of the three-piece Triad of international reputation. He has just been appojnted temporary Head of Jazz Faculty at the world famous Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music,
Áron Tálas, the multi-award winning young Hungarian pianist is already making a real name for himself in his homeland, which, given the remarkable standard of jazz piano playing out there, says a great deal for his impressive talent. An alumnus of the Ferenc Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest, in 2013 he won both the „Junior Prima” prize and the National Jazz Combo competition with his trio. In 2015 he was a finalist in the highly prestigious Montreux Jazz Piano Competition. Not surprisingly he has appeared with some of the finest European jazz musicians, performing worldwide in countries including Japan, Greece, Germany and Portugal. He was a finalist in the Montreux Jazz Festival’s solo piano competition, was immensely successful at London’s famous 606 Club and has already produced two outstanding albums. Readers of the prestigious Magyar Jazz online news have just voted Áron Young Jazz Artist of the Year.
Award Winning drummer Márton Juhász studied extensively in his native Hungary, winning national first prize for solo percussion in 2005, before re-locating to study in London. After being awarded the prize for top overall student on his course, in 2007 he was accepted in to Berklee College of Music. Since then he has performed and recorded extensively both in the US and Hungary, including performances at the 14th, 15th and 16th International Drum Festivals. He is a member of the Alan Benzie Trio but is also a bandleader in his own right. His recent album, “Discovery” that he recorded with an international band of stellar young talents is a brilliant example of tasteful, original and approachable contemporary jazz.
The guest artist is another asceding bright star of the new generation, guitar-player István Tóth Jr.
