Harmónia Jazzműhely: Richter Ambrus Quartet

Not for nothing was young drummer, Ambrus Richter voted Young Jazz Musician of the Year. He is a flexible, dynamic player with an incredible sense of time. He is faultless in all fields but jazz is his true métier. If need be, he accompanies with subtle refinement but, when needed, he drives the others like a dynamo. In this band he teams up with clarinet- and saxophone player, Dániel Mester who started off as a classical musician but then fell in love with jazz. An extremely versatile musician who also writes film music. Pianist Zsolt Farkas came first with his own trio at the Vysledky Jazz Festival in 2016. In the same year he won the award Discovery of the Year. Since then he has become a permanent member of the Hungarian jazz diva, Nikoletta Szőke’s Quartet. On the bass you’ll hear one of the great maestros of this country, JÓZSEF BARCZA-HORVÁTH who is also a prolific composer and arranger.
