Imola Vida-Veres - ‘Aurea’ album release concert

Imola Vida-Veres is a singer-songwriter, music teacher, music therapist born in Transylvania. The presentation of her debut album features an impressive group of musicians.

The Aurea album was recorded by Imola with Grammy-winning musicians including producer Bob Lanzetti (Snarky Puppy) and sound engineer Nic Hard (Snarky Puppy) in 2023 in Spain, creating a unique fusion between the singer-songwriter genre and modern pop music elements, which reflects her deep connection with her cultural roots and progressive musical vision. The musical material combines contemporary and traditional - classical and folk music - stylistic features in an innovative way.

Aurea invites the audience on a musical journey where different musical genres and influences are combined. Each song on the album is a musical projection of a personal story, a significant emotional moment. Imola's classical music roots and her love for Hungarian folk music also shine through in the songs, giving a modern twist to the basically pop music. This cultural richness is one of the main hallmarks of Imola‘s songwriting work.

"A great songwriter, singer and arranger, Imola effortlessly combines the folk tradition of his native country, her classical training and her love for pop music. It combines the heart of a folk musician, the mind of a classical musician and the aesthetics of a pop musician." - Bob Lanzetti, Snarky Puppy.
