ALERANT Jazz Night: HAJDU KLÁRA QUARTET feat. MILÁN SZAKONYI

Klára Hajdu is an outstanding singer-songwriter of the Hungarian jazz scene and is currently a teacher of jazz singing at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music. He has already performed in clubs and festivals in many big cities in Europe and the USA. His own quartet has been a recognized band in the jazz genre for more than a decade and a half, whose members are one by one the defining figures of the domestic scene. The songs of their four albums released so far are broadcast on radios from Europe to Mexico, and are streamed in more than 30 countries, and are also available on the shelves of Japanese record stores.

 

On this evening, the band will be joined by Milán Szakonyi, one of the most unique singers in our country. In addition to singing for ten years in one of the country's most popular jazz bands, the Fonogram award-winning Balázs Elemér Group, he is a pillar of the Hungarian light music scene. He and Klára have been creating and playing music together for eight years, including on the quartet's previous records.

The band is currently working on its latest album, on which Milán will make a guest appearance, so in addition to the quartet's best-known songs, this concert will also provide an insight into the new album's material.
