Budapest Jazz Orchestra - Christmas concert
The BJO is guaranteed to amaze the listener with Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn's adaptation of Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker. The familiar melodies of the dance suite are sometimes embodied in the character of a single instrument, sometimes the sound of the entire big band is used in an unusual way.
The soloist of the evening is the orchestra's regular contributor, Zoltán Mujahid, whose voice fits the festive atmosphere perfectly.
