Anything can happen on the weekend jam nights when the most popular Hungarian musicians create random formations and play true bebop to entertain the audience.

The extremely gifted young singer, Róza Hárs caught our eyes and ears during one of our regular talentseeking contests and we were amazed that she was already ripe for the big stage.

After the successful weekend jam sessions, Budapest Jazz Club now welcomes everyone to the new Thursday jams!

The music is a medley of different styles, including jazz, drum ‘n’ bass, jungle, hip-hop and rap. An overall category could be nu-jazz, but Loop Doctors can also be seen in clubs, where people actually dance to the music.

Each Wednesday, a different trio of talented young musicians is in charge of good vibes, and they welcome the audience to take part in their game.

The band plays songs inspired by the life events of bandleader Rafael Márió, with plenty of improvisational elements.

With the establishment of the Szakcsi Jazz Association, contemporaries and friends remember the greatest Hungarian jazz pianist of his time, Béla Szakcsi Lakatos.

02.10.2023 The Szakcsi Jazz Association will hold its press conference at 5:00 p.m., to which representatives of the media, music industry professionals and musicians are all welcome.
