Budapest Orchestra Project is a big band founded by Ábel Tompa in 2020. Its members are the capital's best young jazz and classical musicians. The ensemble's main mission is to spread and popularize the culture of American big band jazz.

Anything can happen on the weekend jam nights when the most popular Hungarian musicians create random formations and play true bebop to entertain the audience.

In previous years, Árpád Tzumo performed with such great American stars as Wayne Shorter, Terence Blanchard or Kenny Garrett. The artist, who is also successful abroad, could learn the tricks of jazz piano playing from a keyboard player of no lesser stature than Herbie Hancock.
