Lilla Orbay is not among the “big names” yet, but she already draws great audiences. This brilliant young outfit of hers presents refreshingly original variations on great jazz standards.

The music of the quartet, which plays mainstream jazz, can be classified as hard bop, which was represented by such legendary artists as Wayne Shorter, Joe Henderson and John Coltrane.

The quintet, which also feeds on Bill Evans classical school but also represents the diversity of contemporary jazz, places no bounds on the focus with its unique vocals by Emma.
