The Collective Alternative Music Workshop is closing its 16th academic year this year at the Budapest Jazz Club.

Anything can happen on the weekend jam nights when the most popular Hungarian musicians create random formations and play true bebop to entertain the audience.

The formation, established in 2009, performs compositions that have become standards of the hard bop musicians from the 1960s-1970s. On this evening, a young singer, Dóra Moldovai, will join the wellrehearsed group, which now enjoys great prestige.

BlackBird’s music draws inspiration from the work of jazz icons such as Keith Jarrett, Tomasz Stanko, Marcus Miller and legendary Miles Davis as well as from the sounds of the new generation represented by Robert Glasper and Christian Scott.

Gereben Zita’s velvety voice and personal onstage presence ensure an unforgettable evening. 

On this night, internationally acclaimed bossa nova performer Rozina Pátkai and her band of like-minded musicians will perform their own multilingual songs in pop and jazz style.

Oláh Szabolcs, an outstanding young composer/arranger and a wonderful guitar player formed his present band, the Oláh Szabolcs Quintet, with outstanding young musicians of the Hungarian jazz scene.

Finucci Bros Quartet presents the outstanding instrumentalists and epoch-making composers of jazz - this night, Tony Bennett will be in the spotlight.
