In 2018, the Sárik Péter Trio released their first album featuring Bartók adaptations, which was introduced at the Grand Hall of the Liszt Academy of Music.

The band's sound world is contemporary jazz based on Bartók's traditions, which draws from the American jazz avant-garde of the 60s, using elements of folk music, bop, and swing. In addition to these, his most characteristic features are the grotesque-ironic tone and audience-friendly humor.

After the successful weekend jam sessions, Budapest Jazz Club now welcomes everyone to the new Thursday jams!

Krisztián Oláh divided the pieces into four concerts based on their sources of inspiration in the “4x4 Sessions” series. In the “5x5” series, marking the fifth anniversary of the band, five more abstract but highly relevant musical ideas and concepts form the theme of the concerts.

Each Wednesday, a different trio of talented young musicians is in charge of good vibes, and they welcome the audience to take part in their game.

These Wednesdays are random because the leader of the project, Barabás Lőrinc invites well-known characters of the contemporary Hungarian jazz scene to create something amazing in the form of a jam session.
